“I began seeing Kate Reiber at "Made to Move Physical Therapy" to address an injury I sustained to my knee 20 years ago when I tripped over my son's hockey bag, landing on my left knee cap. Over 20 years that acute injury became a chronic injury, causing muscle wasting in my left quad, calf and hip area. As a result of favoring my left leg, my right ankle and foot became inflamed and chronically swollen. Kate completed an assessment and we began dry needling to my left knee and the surrounding areas. Each week over the next 3 weeks , my Left Leg got gradually better. In the 4th week, Kate began to treatment on my left hip with the same protocol.
After a total of 6 weeks of treatment, I am now participating fully in a very challenging Les Mills Body Pump / Combat class with increased strength and stability. In addition, I am training two days a week for the "Escape from Alcatraz Swim" (1.5 mile open water swim in the San Francisco Bay ), and for my participation in the Happy Valley IronMan relay.
I feel so much stronger and can live my daily life with much less pain, greater joint stability, and increased muscle strength. My goal as a 60 y/o is to beat my time in the Alcatraz swim that I achieved doing this same swim as a 50 y/o !”
Whether you want to train for an athletic goal, or just live your best life with less pain , you should really give this approach a try.

“Dr Kate is an amazing PT! Her assessments and feedback were eye opening and helpful for my fitness goals, and one session of dry needling made a world of a difference in the comfort of my upper back as well as my functional output.”
“Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My early treatment plan did provide me with a great deal of initial relief; however, I did begin to mentally accept that at some level, pain was going to just be something that I would need to learn to adapt to. As time progressed, I could feel that my body was not tolerating certain activities that I loved to do, like coaching my kid’s athletic teams. Cold and rainy weather began to control my ability to perform everyday normal activities. I was also beginning to experience daily morning back pain, which my rheumatologist had advised me to be normal for RA patients. I was frustrated that I was gradually feeling the return of increased pain and that the arthritis was controlling my life and slowly limiting what I could do. While skeptical about physical therapy being able to provide any level of pain relief, I decided to give it a try. To say the least, I wish I had found Kate Reiber sooner! She was very caring and attentive to every detail of my health history. She was extremely knowledgeable with what could help with each area of concern I was having.
Within 2 weeks of seeing Kate, the daily morning back pain that I had been advised by my rheumatologist as being normal RA pain was completely gone. The pain was completely unrelated to arthritis and Kate was able to locate its source and eliminate it. While I do still have some other arthritic pain, Kate has empowered me with the ability to have a great level of control over my pain, instead of my pain controlling me.
If the weather is cold or rainy, I am now able to use stretches taught by Kate to greatly minimize and sometimes even eliminate the pain. Kate was also able to equip me with some arthritic sensitive strength training that has helped me to regain some strength in areas of my body where I felt like the RA was winning. If you suffer from RA or any other autoimmune disorder that is limiting your physical ability, please consider giving Kate the opportunity to use her knowledge and skills to help you regain control of your life!”
